    Why not just fix it your self and save the $$. I've fixed mine, and at least 20 more with no issues to date. You can buy the parts that everyone else uses (and charges you $350+ for) and do it yourself. If it fails you're only out your time. PM if you need any info on where to buy the parts.

    Alternator replacement (6.0 Diesel)

    It's easier to use the tip down method as described below. I have changed out a few on the 6.0L's in the parking lot of a local parts store using their belt tension tool set and didn't remove anything except the alt and belt.
