    What would you do?

Well guys, I got my new F-350 about 2 weeks ago. However, I've been too busy to take pics and post them. We've sold our house and are currently moving into our 5th wheel RV. We also are trying to get everything out of our house before the closing on Monday the 21st. I retire on the last day of...

    What would you do?

Well Stroked, I got her yesterday, but no time for pics. Working 12 hour days. :( Maybe this weekend I can get some pics. Let me say, that is one sweet truck! My 2011 only has 21,500 miles on it, but this 2015 feels stronger and smoother. I'm happy! I like the continuous up on the window. I work...

    What would you do?

Well, the long wait is almost over! Whoo Hoo! I pick her up on Tuesday. :) Could have been sooner, but the spoiler plastic thingy under the front bumper was damaged coming off the transfer truck and they had to order it in.

    What would you do?

Well, I found out that my new truck will start being built on June 5th and deliver to my dealer the week of June 16th. That day will be here before I know it!

    What would you do?

BIG JOE, I am kinda picky, so it's best I order what I want. For instance, I don't want the navigation. They make GPS units especially made for RV's with lifetime updates. The Ford navigation costs $100.00 to update. The RV GPS units have lifetime free updates. I also didn't want the moon roof...

    2014 vs 2015

There were no 2014's within 1200 miles of here, so I ordered a 2015! Now I gotta wait a couple of months!

    What would you do?

Well, there doesn't seem to be any 2014 models within 1200 miles of here! I ordered a new 2015! Now, I have to wait for 6, 8, 10 weeks!

    What would you do?

Actually, BIG JOE, I think there is a BIG difference. Between 2011 and now, they have cured the issue with the valves on the left cylinder head. Anything after that time is probably OK. For 2015, they have a different High pressure fuel pump, more HP and more torque. Everything else is the same.

    2014 vs 2015

What have you guys heard? Is the 2015 going to be that much better than the 2014? More HP and torque is always good, but not necessary. My 2011 pulls my 15,500 lb camper like it could handle twice the weight. What does have me interested is the new fuel pump. I wonder what changed? It would be...

    What would you do?

Thanks Joe & Doug. Do you think the 2015 is better than a new 2014?

    What would you do?

You've seen my posts. I've had a few problems. I've really lost confidence in my truck. The radio still doesn't work right and it won't do it for the Techs. The motor doesn't run right and is building up a good layer of soot on the exhaust pipe. I believe I should have listened to my inner self...

What have you learned abou your 6.7L this week?

I learned just how much power I have available with this truck. We were coming back from an RV park this past Sunday and a buddy was pulling his smaller 5th wheel with a 6.4. He was amazed at how fast I was accelerating away from traffic lights. He couldn't keep up! I don't feel like I was...

    My Baby's in the shop

Well, my truck went into the shop on Tuesday, the 10th. They got the part on the afternoon of Monday the 16th. You shouldn't have to wait that long for a common part. When I called Monday afternoon, I was told they had the part and would be getting right on it. Tuesday afternoon I called and was...

    My Baby's in the shop

Yup. Ford paid all of it except $21.00. The reason for that is I have a local dealer that's about 4 miles from my house. I wouldn't take my truck there. See my thread about my last adventure.http://www.superdutydiesel.com/forums/showthread.php?30231-Service-engine-light So, anyway, my preferred...

    My Baby's in the shop

While driving from the nursing home where my Mom is on Sunday 12/8/13, the “Cleaning Exhaust Filter” message came on. I thought this was good since I had about 25 miles to go. The truck usually waits until I'm almost home before deciding it wants to clean the filter. However, the instant fuel...

    I'm disapointed too

I've had way too many problems with my truck and I only have 17,000 miles on her. So far, bad transmission front seal and torque converter, bad DEF tank and bad DEF pump, the memory function no longer works for seat, mirror and pedals. The radio must have a disk that it "writes" to because it...

    Fuel filter sprung a leak.

Yup. I won't use anything but Motorcraft and it was the original Motorcraft filter that came with the truck that failed.

    Fuel filter sprung a leak.

Even after I saw that it was leaking from the filter, I thought about calling Ford and telling them to come get it and fix it. And, also to tell them I wanted all traces of diesel fuel removed from the engine, frame, etc. so I don't smell it in my garage. It would most likely be covered by the...

    Fuel filter sprung a leak.

So 45 views and no replies. I guess no one has seen this happen before. Maybe I'm the only lucky one! :)

    Fuel filter sprung a leak.

Yesterday, I needed to back my truck out of the garage to get to some stuff on the shelf in front of the truck. I don't like to start her up and shut down in just a couple minutes. So, I backed her out and left her running in the driveway. After a while, I notice the smell of diesel fuel and I...

    Hesitates

I tried turning it off, but I noticed it was on the next time I was driving. I'd have to remember to turn it off every time I started the truck. I ain't gonna be able to remember to do that every time I crank up. I keep hearing this drive line shudder thing is due to a change in the drive shaft...

    Service engine light

Thanks for the info, Chris. I was taking my truck to Kings Colonial in Brunswick because I bought it there. The only reason I stopped going there is because I didn't want to travel so far to a dealer. Kings Colonial has always done me right, but I don't know how good they are with diesels. I had...

    Service engine light

Well, the code that I had is: P2043 - Reductant Temperature Sensor Circuit Range/Performance. I tried to upload a jpeg showing a basic diagram of the DEF system, but couldn't do it. Anyway, the DEF tank feeds to the pump which feeds this smaller tank that is labeled heater. So, it makes sense...
