First long fifthwheel pull with new 6.7 PSD

Drive both of them and see what you think. I think you'd be okay with your current weights with the F350 SRW but I love my DRW after towing with both. They are a little bit more expensive and of course you have the extra width. It took me a couple of weeks to get used to it but now don't think...

First long fifthwheel pull with new 6.7 PSD

Depends on exactly what you really want. If you want the best, most comfortable towing, get a DRW truck. If you are 100% against a DRW get an F350 SRW, then last choice would be an F250. Personally, I see absolutely no reason to ever buy another F250 if I ever plan on towing a 5th wheel. I've...

    F-250 or F-350??

Absolutely get the F350, I see no reason whatsoever to get an F250 over an F350. You get a little more payload and the F250 runs out of payload very quick towing a 5th wheel. DRW is the way to go towing a 5th wheel but a lot of people won't consider a dually. After having both a long bed and a...

    2015 f450

Got a question, is the 2015 F450 pickup frame completely different than the 2015 F450 chassis cab? This was discussed on an RV forum and basically how the 2015 F450 pickup was nothing but a hopped up F350 DRW.

    New super duty

I've told several friends this, after making the same mistake, to not even consider the F250. I really see no reason for an F250 if you tow anything decent as the F350 can be bought for about the same price. I recently had this discussion with a coworker moving from an almost new motor home to a...

New forum member and F-450 owner

Thanks, I really like this truck and can't believe how quiet it is and how well it rides. I was a little concerned about the ride quality but it is actually quite a bit better than my F-250 and for a truck this size I'm impressed. I know we don't buy these trucks for their ride quality but I'll...

Went to look, drove truck home!

Congratulations, they sure are nice trucks! I went and had my F250's oil changed last week and wound up trading to a 2015.

    2015 f450

Thanks, right now the train horns are on delay but plan on installing some in the next few months. Windows tinted, bed cover just arrived, and installed the weathertech mats. I've spent my allowance and my wife would kill me but she knows they are on my list.

Thanks guys, appreciate it. I will be pulling a 35 foot toy hauler with it. A little more truck than I needed but had the options I wanted in the color I preferred and was able to get it at about the same price as the F-350 DRW. Only F-450 I saw at several dealerships I visited and think maybe...

New forum member and F-450 owner

Just joined this forum and also a new 2015 F-450 owner. Traded in my 2011 F-250 which I had owned since new last week and so far love the dually. I had a hard time finding the color/interior combination I wanted and was in the market for an F-350 DRW. Dealer called and said they'd just gotten in...

    2015 f450

Thanks, yes mine is Tuxedo black. Retrax is supposed to be here tomorrow so plan on installing it Saturday. Looking forward to pulling the 5th wheel with it, I bet it tows very nice. Hopefully I'll get used to the size and not hit anything with it. It's a lot bigger than my short bed F-250 for...

Question Looking for feedback on BAKFlip F1 Tonneau Cover

Probaly too late now for advice but I had the Bakflip on my 2011 F-250 short bed and liked it, also held up very well. The only issue is if you plan on pulling a 5th wheel you will lose around 6-8 inches of maneuverability due to the cover folded up against the back window. I used the Pullrite...

    2015 f450

Great looking truck, I just traded my 2011 F-250 to a new 2015 F-450 last week. Appears to be same color as yours and also ordred the Retrax Pro bed cover. Any suggestions or recommendations? I occasionally tow a 5th wheel toy hauler with it, otherwise a daily driver. What kind of gas mileage...

    New super duty

I had a 2011 F-250, first year of the 6.7. I just traded it in on a 2015 F-450 last week. The F-250 had 72,000 miles on it and I never had one issue. I'm hoping this new truck is just as problem free.
