Question Anyone have ideas on why dash lights don’t go off with engine running . Just bought this at an auction. Runs real good. 2011 250 6.7 lariat xl. Thank

The O2 sensor code is common in these trucks. It is NOT telling the PCM if you have good fuel/air ratios. Do you see black smoke?

Check your PCM for error codes. Use a scanner to get the codes. This will tell you what the problem is. All WE can do is guess.

Question 6.7L Powerstroke as daily driver

No you will not hurt the engine. Running less that full loads is easy in the running gear. You consider a smaller truck or a car for the grocery getting. Even with small loads your mileage will be considerable less that with a smaller truck or car. I worked in construction when I had...

Best Fuel Pump for 2008 F-250 6.4l Diesel

What did you test? One problem with earlier diesel trucks is a broken "shower head". This is part of the fuel pick-up in the fuel tank. They can break and cause the truck to "run out of fuel" at about 1/4 full. Do you have two fuel tanks? Is this problem with one tank or the other or both...

    Question Rear Axle Servicing

"unfortunately the lack of chatter also means they are slipping instead of grabbing, which is literally the opposite of what you want." Not entirely true. Think about a clutch. You don't want the clutch to chatter. You want it to be smooth when you disengage it and engage it. The clutch will...

    Question Rear Axle Servicing

I would remove the current oil and add regular diff oil. Drive it for a little ways (50 miles or so) and change it again. This should get any friction modifiers out. You should be GTG. [Good To Go]

Unless you see a reason to change the filters, leave them stock. There are only a couple of filter makers and the filter paper is the same in most of the filters they make. The paint and Name of the filters is mostly what changes. Air filters do change more than oil filters. They get bigger...

    Antifreeze in the oil

Oil is under more pressure than coolant so I could be a head gasket. No guarantee on this as it could be the cooler. I would start with the cooler as it is a LOT easier to remove than the heads.

    Vibration

If it was the Death Wobble it might be caused by worn or loose ball joints. Or a bent rim.

03 7.3 loses all electrical power

It sounds like a loose ground connection. Check ALL of your connections to the batteries and the starting solenoid. Check that they are CLEAN and tight.

    ALTERNATOR SWAP/DUAL

It sounds like you have an ambulance with dual alternators. No need for dual alternators, so go with the 200 amp alternator. 200 amps is a LOT of current!
