Time for a new t-stat?
The easiest place is on the water pump next to the factory sending unit (at the thermostat housing). There is a plug on the top and side of the water pump.- plowhand

tubzz, hheynow is correct, you can order a left or right facing pod. I have a 3left facing center pod and a two right facing pod on the dash next to the A-pillar. what is this?
It looks like the vacuum switch (Fuel Filter Restricted sensor; on filter housing 94/95; on regulator block 96/97 (Ford) E8TZ-9S283-A) that screws into the FPR (Fuel Pressure Regulator). With the picture so close it's hard to tell exactly where it's located at.- plowhand

Oil fill extension
The oil filler ext. from any 99+ 7.3L (with an intercooler) will work on an OBS truck.- plowhand
