    Cleaned EGR and...

Pulled a 18' Trailer today, when I got back to the shop it smoked really bad as I was pulling in and while idling. I wiped my finger in the tailpipe and it was oily. I dont understand why it only does this with the stock tune. If I put the 100HP tune in it its fine....

    Cleaned EGR and...

Im gonna drive it for a while and see if it cleans itself out. It might need some miles put on it to clean it out after being closed for so long.

    Cleaned EGR and...

I did the search and found the cleaning procedure before I did it. I hope the EGR valve is still good.

    Cleaned EGR and...

The tune I was running had the EGR off and the entire thing was plugged up. I put the stock tune back in it so I need the EGR to work. Before the cleaning I think the EGR was sticking open. At idle the truck would smoke with the stock tune. If I put the tune back in it the smoke would stop...

Slip plate? Mine is a flared ball socket fit, anyone have better detailed pictures of their cats or the delete pipes. The pictures of the delete pipes from the manufactures arent that good.

    Catalytic coverters 6.0l?

After removing it and looking at it close I guess 45 degrees was a bit off. Its more like a 20 degree bend. Here is a link to the pictures I took of it. www.hotrodz.org - /vette/files/superduty/

    Catalytic coverters 6.0l?

Im going to pull mine off this week and take pictures of it. The only part that looks different than the aftermarket ones is the ball socket end that goes to the downpipe.

    Catalytic coverters 6.0l?

The muffler delete pipe doesnt have the 45 degree bend or the ball socket. I know I could just hack the cat directly after the bend and put a 3.5" pipe in place of it. Then connect one end with a band clamp and the other will go into the slip joint. If I found out that every 6.0l truck had the...

    Catalytic coverters 6.0l?

This is the part description off the site..... For those customers that use their truck in off road events we also have a catalytic converter test/delete pipe. It slips in place of the original equipment converter and installs onto the MBRP down pipe. The MBRP converter test/delete pipe is...

    Catalytic coverters 6.0l?

I searched all over the net and could not find anyone that makes a simple cat delete/off road pipe. It takes 5 minutes to take it off and would be nice if someone made a factory fit pipe to go in its place. Not everyone wants to put full turbo back exhausts on their trucks, apparently most...

    Catalytic coverters 6.0l?

Anyone know if the Catalytic converters all bolt up the same on the 6.0l trucks? 3.5" Slip joint on the muffler and 2 bolt ball socket flange on the downpipe?
