Do I need a Massachusetts CDL?

Gee thanks guys. Thanks for the quick info. I have been checking around the MA RMV site, but it wasn't very clear. I already got the DOT Health Certificate, because I needed it to drive a GM 1-ton dump truck for my old job (landscaping). I carry it all the time. Thanks guys.:notworthy

Do I need a Massachusetts CDL?

I was told that the GVW was under the CDL requirement, and no trailers. But the big concern is the airbrakes.

Do I need a Massachusetts CDL?

Hey fellas, I got a question. We got an Int'l 4700 lo-profile w/Altec crane. The problem is that it's got air-brakes. I've been driving it. No big deal. Kinda fun actually. It's got real high gears tho. redlines at around 58-60. Anyway. Do I need a CDL License or Permit? What's the...

Results of the Spartant DFP tuner and delete kit.....

the problem is not so much the exhaust and intake, as much as it is the dpf. THE DPF IS THE MAJOR CAUSE OF LOW MILEAGE! The computer is to blame because it controls the DPF. The only way to get the mileage of the 7.3s and 6.0s is to hack the dpf and reprogram the ecm to cope without it. THAT...

Results of the Spartant DFP tuner and delete kit.....

Is that with Spartan or with your Banks? We've had pretty good luck with banks so far, but all of ours are 99 7.3s, and my buddy put it on his [six-door conversion] 6.0. And this is with completely removing or disabling EGR, removing Catalytic, and removing the DPF, yes?

Results of the Spartant DFP tuner and delete kit.....

Is this for real? Did your buddy really get 21 MPG? Is my math right? (650 mi. 30.5 Gal. tank) Even if its over 15 it looks pretty good compared to 10s and 12s. The mileage and the DPF puker are the sole reasons for us not getting any new PSD's. But hey if youre getting 18-20 with this kit...

    Auto to Manual

Hi guys, a buddy of mine has a 2001 350 Lariat 7.3 auto 4x4 4door lwb srw. He asked me if I knew anybody with a similar truck had converted the auto to manual. I don't. I know alot of guys who have done it on Rangers, but not SD's. Has anyone out there done so yet? And if so, was it...

    long cranking time, smokes

Neighbor's got a 99 f-350 dually crew lariat with the same problem. BAD INJECTORS. He changed the glow plugs and nothing, then got the injectors replaced and good as new. Had the same problem on one of our fleet trucks. (except ours is an 03 chevy 3500 duramax [same configuration]) Edit-...

    Truck almost undrivable Clutch Grabs

YOu need to replace the fork. Ford is notorious for losing clutches and forks. Usually every 50,000 miles. dont replace it with stock ford parts, try and find higher quality aftermarket. Otherwise, at around 230k, you may need a new transmission. We have 4 1999 F250 and F350 7.3 PSD with MT...

    6.4 twins on a 7.3

The twins are on the 6.4 because it cant meet the new emissions without them. I think it does more harm than good. Go with aftermarket. 6.4 turbos are for emissions control not really power mods. As far as I know:hmm so no uh...:haha

    Got to drive a '05 6.0

    I dunno. 6.0 450 dually pushes a plow alright. 7.3 srw pulls a 440 chrysler powered century skiboat pretty well. the 7.3 has 3.73s the 6.0 has 4.11s. i guy i know had a 4d 4x4x srw 7.3 w/3.73's and pulled a huge (35'?) camper pretty hard. has an 05 6.0 350 SIX DOOR 4x4 with banks top pack...

    PowerStroke Diesel Being Replaced By?

I sure hope this new motor will knock my socks off. The 6.4 isn't bad, but as its been said, it is in fact a transition motor. It could be so much more without all the emissions. I would hope they, being whoever is building it, can get it to do at least 23 mpg. I could get 21 out of my 7.3...
