Buzzing in Cat
Cat Converter on my '04 SD is buzzing at idle when warm. If I get under the truck and hit it with a hammer the noise goes away for a couple of days. Noise also stops if you put foot on exaust tip. Anyone have any experiance with this????? Neighbor suggested Ford had a run on bad converters...- Chuckster

FYI 7.3 Letdown @3AM /11 Degrees F
Recently had my 7.3 breakdown @ 3 Am in 11 degree cold weather. Engine shutdown like someone reached over and shut the key off. Truck had been plugged in the night before and had been running like a top for 30 minutes prior. In my ultimate wisdom I got under the truck and changed out the CPS...- Chuckster

Oil Pan Replacement
Have '99 7.3 and oil pan is leaking from a rust spot...heard that you must pull engine out to replace pan!!! Also heard that this is somewhat a common problem... Anyone heard anything like this?? Searched forum for any info on "oil pans" and came up dry...- Chuckster

Auto Hub Dilema
Whoops.. Initiallly posted under wrong forum I'm a new member and like what I see!!! Have a problem w/ auto locking hubs... not a vacum leak... replaced vacum pump and solenoid valve. Also have 2 new hubs. Suspect of new solenoid valve because when I apply vacum to the valve it appears to be...- Chuckster
