    dave, i took it to the dealer as i didnt feel comfortable working on it by myself. They tightened the steering box and the problem is still there. They are taking it to the local off-road shop to have them take a look. Anything else you can think of?

    Allright Dave, I crawled under there last and low and behold I found what felt like 3 bolts on top of steering box. I never really felt one that was longer than the other or felt like it had the jam nut setup. Whats next? I wasn't too keen about just loosening stuff up and tightening it up...

    how much was the kit? did you just buy the cab lights from Ford? Do they run with the headlights, or do you need the upfitter switches?

    Thanks Dave. Where would they tighten the steering box? I already had them tighten the bolt coming from the box to the pitman arm.

    2009 f-250 14" lift????

    how/where did you get the crossover steering? I have a pro comp stage one on my truck and I have had problem after problem with the steering. Apparently, the doofus that installed my lift did not tighten the pitman arm to proper torque. I would just as soon like a new steering setup on it.

    i know this is an old thread but thats a bargain price for an oil change. Dealer down here wanted 125 for oil change, oil, and filter. I went to walmart, bought three jugs of 15w40 motorcraft powerstroke oil, motorcraft filter and was out the door fr 55 bucks....

    yea, they smoke when they regen. Most of the time you can't see any exhaust unless it regens. My smoking incident was a cloud, about 10x thicker than what you see when the 7.3 guys blow black smoke when they accelerate.

    Yeah regen sucks. The one thing I hate about this truck. Yes it only has 5,000 miles on it. I will have the look at the egr cooler. my coolant level was lower than it should have been. i topped it off and havent had the problem since last week.

    Hi there- New to the diesel world. I grabbed an '08 6.4L Crew Cab 250 back in June. Not new to trucks, I have an 04 F-150 with an 8 inch suspension, 35's, 4.88 gears, lockers, and the whole deal. I just wanted to say hi and thank you for all of the advice you have provided already.

    I didn't smell it. I was freakin' out too much to notice asides from using my sixth sense, the "ohh s***, I broke something" sense..... Can you tell me where this egr valve thing is? The thing that guys are looking at to see if there is moisture or oil below the cap? Sorry- just got this...
