05 6.0 no start

ok batts were dead this morning.we got it jumped and spinning but it wont light off.i know it has an intake heater so the use of ether to most is a no no.but how long before that and or the glow plugs shut off so i can give it a squirt to fire it up?pm it to me incase you dont want random people hitting 6.0s with ether.

6.0 diesels do not have an intake heater. Only glow plugs. No ether!! Even with a jump, the batteries may not be enough to spin it fast enough to fire. I just changed my batteries because it would not start. New batteries spin it over very fast compared to the old batteries. Try charging the old batteries for a while and see if it will start. Keep it running when it lights off.

put the batts from my truck in it with 2 vehicles jumping it.still wouldnt fire.left key on for a while and a quick shot and she lit right off
