07 oil change

I wanted to know if any of you guys had some tricks of the trade to change the oil...does anyone know if k&n makes a filter for it and if you guys the part number? Also does anyone use synthetic oil and how many quarts does this bad boy take.. Thnks in advance.

I wouldn't waste my money on ANY filter made by K&N, and the capacity is in your owners manual...

Synthetic may not be a bad idea given the weather..

Do a search for filters on here, there are part numbers for quality filters and where to get them from.

The 6.0s take about 15 quarts (3.75 gallons) of oil. Again, like JLDickson said, double check your owners manual.

I wouldn't put synthetic oil in it this time, wait tell about 20.000 miles to change it over. It does take 15 Qt. to top it off with filter.
Remember to loosen the filter on top before you drop the oil out of the pan. I just did mine this last Friday and everything is still real clean and dry under there with no oil leaks to report.

Get a Fumoto valve and get rid of wrenches and oily hands.

i get my oil filters from oil guard and use rotella
oooooorielies has the oem filters for good $$
especially the fuel filters


trick
get a five gallon paint pail and cut the top two inches off it, then it wil fit right under the drain pan.

invest in some 2x12's and make you a good step up ramp at least 3 boards thick

loosen the factory oil filter cap first, then drain the pain

installing the oil filter, slowly set it down and listen for a small audible thump as the cap gets screwed back down, that way you know its seated and the drain valve is closed.
