Has anybody installed airbags on the rear to level the truck out when towing. If so how did they improve the ride?

not on an 08, but i have done several rv chassis. 20-30 psi makes a huge difference. my only complaint is that the airbags dont have much travel, so the spring rate progresses very quickly, making the ride a bit harsh. im not sure how it would be on an 08 truck chassis though.

Like Zookie said, it made the ride more harsh than it was. I put the rear springs and the automatic system controller on my 2008 F250 because it sagged so badly pulling my 5th wheel. I love being able to tow level and it rides great with the trailer connected. But to tell you the truth, I'm thinking of removing the air bags for a test to see if it rides beter day to day.
