Thanks for clearing that up Jeffro- you know those cold starts are a real problem down here! :tounge The parkas come out on both of the days that it gets below 35 degrees every year! :lmao It really would be nice to be able to let these trucks idle for more than 5-10 min at a time. Maybe one day when I win the lottery and can afford to let the warranty go, I can get rid of that DPF! :sly

Hey I got a question? My truck goes into a high idle state right after it is started, approximatly 30 seconds after. it dosent matter what i do no parking brake set, no switches on. Is it possible that the previous owner set it up this way and how can I check. It is a 2008 fx4. Thanks for any info!

That is the Cold Weather High Idle that is built into the truck's computer. It should get to about 1800 rpm until it warms up. Normal operating proceedure.
