10K/clamp/varipot mod poor man tuner

With the purchase of my 03 7.3 auto SD and 03 cougar 5th wheel i am currently financially challanged and cannot afford a new tuner. So i did some surfing and found the 10K mod on forgotten fords website. This leads me to a couple questions....
Is anyone running this mod still?
Has there been any problems that is has caused?
Is it a mod that will cause excessive EGT's?
DOES ANYONE HAVE A TUNER/PROGRAMMER 4 SALE @ 150 MAX SHIPPED?
The rebuild of the tranny just killed my secret stash $$$.

I *STILL* run my adjustable 10k mod, even with my tuner.

*JUST* the 10k mod and you shouldnt need to worry about egt's too much, although I always recommend gauges, even on stock trucks.

I am running it, and with the lower resistors it wil easily go past 1000 degrees.

1000 is ok tho. Its 1250 you dont want to exceed.

very true, but if one was doing it and hauling a trailer it would very easily go past 1250.
