My 06 is Needing New Tires, the truck came with 18” Wheels. I would like to put some M/Ts on it. Apparently no company makes 18” load range E M/Ts!! Anyone have any suggestions? I would love to put these 17” Wheels

Budnik Wheels - HDX Series Road Wheels

and some 17 “ Load range E M/Ts. But the Company says they don’t know if the will ever build any more of those Wheels!! I’m looking for Wheels and tires or some combinations of the Two!!

Toyo Open Country M/T's come in LT275/70R18, 33X12.50R18LT, 35X12.50R18LT and some larger 18" sizes all of which are E rated 10 ply tires. I purchased a set of Open Country M/T's last spring and have been very happy with them.

Those tires don't look that bad, as far as mud tires go. I would really like a Ground Hawg. (Made in the U.S. 3,660# load range) I may have to settle on something like the TOYO though. The LT275/70R18 (Really too small) and 35X12.5R18s (Really too Large) are Load range E The best size for a stock truck 33X12.5R18 are 2,910# load range (D).

I like the BF goodrich Tires, the only ones I've ever had were the ATs. They lasted for 70K miles but were use-less in the mud or sand. They worked well on the pavement!! That one is a little more aggressive, it's not what I would really call a Mud Tire though!!

They tested it in october's petersen's 4x4 and gave it rave reviews. It is a closer lugged version of their rock crawlers.

The best size for a stock truck 33X12.5R18 are 2,910# load range (D).

The 33X12.50R18LT are E/10. That is E rated and 10 ply although they are only good for 2,910#. It is strange that some of the D rated 37"+ Toyo's are rated at much more weight than the E rated 10 ply 33's but they are listed as E rated.
