1989 w/ sidewinder

A buddy of mine picked up a 89 f250 with a siderwinder sys. on it. It was at a silent auction put a bid in for $1,000 bucks the truck runs great, the paint is a little faded but other then that I can't see nothing wrong with it he wants to put a chip in it for a little more power and I don't know where he can get one I will try and get some pics this week at work and post the. thanks bone

You can't chip a non computer engine, unless the sidewinder is computer controlled.

i dont know of much else that can be done with them but check in the IDI forums im sure someone knows things to do.....
tell em good luck with the truck....
im tring to get a friend out in utah a cheap IDI turbo i saw on ebay. being that he needs a truck...

No can chip an IDI bone, bout all he can do there is turn up the IP a little bit. A pyro is a MUST HAVE on an IDI if you are going to play with adding fuel. Water/meth is a good choice also.

i had a 92 IDI we put a sidewinder kit on it.
nice and easy , gained a bit of HP but i dont think the cost was worth it.
and like it was mentioned you can turn up the injector pump a notch or two to gain some power and a bit of smoke.
10 lbs of boost is about all you should try to push through it as well,
