Question 2000 7.3 fuel system issue

IIRC stock is around 55 psi or so. I used the new FPR from a site sponsor that came with 3 springs of different strength and used the max. It was supposed to be around 65 psi but I'm getting around 75 consistently since January. There's a couple of pressure port taps on the back side of the fuel bowl...

The idea of a load of air getting in and getting compressed sounds like a good theory...if you use the fuel release lever and drop the end of a tube into a bucket of liquid (diesel if you want to reuse) you could watch for a load of bubbles as you release the pressure? Just a thought...
