2001 f350 to 2005-2007 f350 headlight swap

I have the plain pocket headlights on my 2001 f350 and am installing the 2005-2007 f350 Go Recon projector headlights. Has anyone done a 2001-2005 headlight swap? any info would be great. I hear i have to do a bit of cutting.

I have heard that you have to do some cutting, but it's been so long ago, I forgot, hope someone here
sees this and can help you.

It's doable.. I would call it Trimming. Cutting (?) not so much.

Go slow, wear a mask & goggles.. the dust from that composite stuff can be nasty.. on the nose & eyes ?

I have a 2002 that i done this to and the cutting itself wasn’t difficult by any means. Like what has already been said take your time and it’s worth it!

Now, to ask a question:
After my headlight conversion i also updated to LEDs in both the headlights and fog lights. Now when i turn my fog lights on it changes headlights to “high beams” and then when i use my dimmer switch to turn high beams on it turns of the fog lights. Does anyone have a work around or tips to help me get these to function back properly?
