I have a 2006 E450 , with the following codes , P2138, and P2140 , related to electric throttle , does this mean the throttle control is bad ? or is something causing this ?

Any Throttle related codes would mean the TPS (Throttle Position Switch/Sensor) needs looked at. It's a Module part and at 13 years old.. replacing it, rather than doing a bunch of trouble-shooting.. might be in order ? Yer call?

You might also do a Wiggle Check with ALL the related connectors to the TPS. AND.. what shape are your Batteries and Clamps in ??? Good volts/amps.. clean connections ?

Bad grounds will cause a lot of troubles with all electronic vehicles. Check your battery cables and the cable grounds to the block and starter. Wait until we hit winter and you will hear a lot more of this type of problems.
