2008 superduty mirror lights

does anyone know how to access the mirror lights to change them on my 08 superduty. my mirror was hit while driving down the road by a passind semi truck with a sleeper door open. after that i noticed the mirror lights are broke off and would light to replace them please help.

If they are like my '04, you have to pull the mirror glass out and then you can get to everything else. Pull it out slowly from the top or bottom. There are adjusting pins that will come out of the motor drives. You will need to figure out a way to get them in. I used some wire around the pins and then installed them and removed the wire. They just pop out from the outside, need to release the tab that holds them in... forget the exact sequence, but once you figure it out, its easy

i thought the same thing but it looks sealed and was afraid of breaking the plastic. i will look again and see thanks for the help.
