Kind of took some of the excitement of hitting 400,000 away. I watched it roll over, and it went to 300,000 instead. Wierd. Anyone else had the odometer malfunction?

I think the question may be has anyone else hit 400,000 ? ;) I have a few more miles to go myself.

It's been widely reported by others that's what happens at 400k. Someone on TDS was trying to find out if the programming could be changed to allow it, but I don't think anything came out of it. It's too bad since at that point it's a "badge of honor" (vice a bad selling point). I'm waiting to see what happens with my commuter-slug Buick thats at 380k (although its got mechanical digits vice LCD). Cheers!

Congrats on the roll over. The way I see it is like this: Our trucks are like an aging woman. Once they reach 39 is fine, but once they turn 40...they will always be 39 "plus". :D

That is one heck of a milestone for any pickup.Congrats on the roll over, just to bad it didn't read the true 400,000 like it should have. Love them Ford Trucks

You gotta watch that kind of humor Richard, I'm guessing there wasn't a Woman around when you typed it :D

Thing is, that couldn't be the case with my truck anyway. My kinda gal would never feel she needed to lie about her age...

Don, I guess you're gonna have to hurry up and get another 100,000 miles so if you can see if 500,000 will become 400,000 or stay at 300. Congratulations on the milestone. To me, the "big moment" used to be when they hit 100,000 (back in the day when the odometers only showed 99,999.9 before turning to all 0's. I even had one that stuck as it was changing to 50,000. Had to pry back the cover and stick a knife on the numbers to get them loose where they would work again (speedometer worked fine, just odometer stuck).

I had an old boss that told his wife that when she hit 40 he was going to trade her in for two twenty year olds she just laughed at him and said you're not wired for 220:tounge :roflmao :roflmao
