I have never had any oil related turbo failures. All of my failures have been due to the variable vanes rusting which causes underboost conditions.
I got my X back with the 4th turbo. Everything is running great.
Service manager tells me that Ford is aware of the problem of turbos rusting for lack of use. Eventually someone will sue Ford.
I know if this turbo fails I will contact a lawyer.
