My 02' , 7.3dsl 4x4 will not engauge will the selector on the dash. It will go into 4x4 if you lock in the hubs. Is this a fuse or something simple. Thanks.

hes got a vacuum leak !
the ESOF hubs are enguage by the vac. pump
(mins on the pass. side fender)...check the lines &
their connections...replace as needed.
hows his ac/heat working ? its my understanding the
same pump is used to switch between dash/floor & defrost etc.

If all the vaccum lines and pump is good then it's probably one of the front seals. 4wd hub o-ring, inner bearing/hub seal, or bearing o-ring.
The inner seal is the most likely because it sees the most abuse.
