Help Needed 4X4 not working

Cheap fix for the ESOF motors is to pull them apart and clean the brushes. Generally gives them a bit longer life. Link to a How to yes it's for a ranger but the motor is the same or very similiar

When my ESOF motor died it was the gears in the head that stripped, not the actual motor that stopped working.

Hey all

95_stroker...thanks for the NAPA suggestion. I'll try them.

BJS...what i did was lock the hubs, pulled off the drive onto the grass, flipped ,the 4X4 switch. I rolled about 30 feet and no 4X4. Stopped turned 4X4 off, tried again,nothing....had to back out. Went home got the old truck(96 F-250 7.3)to get the job(96 F-350 7.3 dually 2wd w/28 foot 5thwheel camper stuck in the mud) done.
