The local mech. bought an analyzer. In my introductory post I stated the 7.3 was having power up problem. The local mech. bought an analyzer.
Here are the codes it showed:
P1271
P1273
P1275
The result: injector driver modul problem. Upon consultation with a mech. with more experience it was recommended the wiring harness under the valve cover be replaced. Apparently different diagnosis if all 4 pistons had the code(?). Looked at the contact connection prongs of old compared to new and obvious why no electrical flow was happening. The "male" pins were pretty thin and definitely smaller than the new.
AND, the rest of the story, now I can again come up behind the beemers and mini-coopers and not see half their car (folks not living in the area) at a stop light or push the traffic along on the highway. Kidding of course. My truck serves as my sole source of transportation and serves me well in winter transporting my sled dogs, so as utilitarian as it is and for a truck not cherried up (wish I could), it is a great ride at 16-18mpg, 1 ton, crewcab.
thanks to those who put their $0.02 in.
