'97 IPR in SD HPOP

I just got my super duty HPOP ('99-'03) Part number ending in CRM...it did not come with an IPR...Will it accept my IPR out of my '97 HPOP??

some over at STD say no.but i have been running my truck for almost a year with the 97IPR in the SD pump with no issues
