was trying to help a friend out with his 97 standard transmission F-250 and diagnose some problems with my auto enginuity and it would not connect to his truck, we checked the fuses and the one for diagnostic power was blown, replaced it and still didnt work. he was pretty sure there was not a programmer in it but wasnt positive as the truck is fairly new to him. would a programmer stop a connection?

am i overloooking something?

You are connecting through the OBD connector? If nothing else is connected to THAT connector, then no it should not stop the Auto Enginuity from connecting. Mines connects automatically when plugged in. Nothing to it. I am connecting to a 2004 truck. Good luck!
