a/c acting funny

ok this has been going on a while but I am just now getting to were I can ask ya'll about the problem. For some reason when I am sitting in the truck not moving the a/c will blow hot but when I start moving or getting on it real hard the a/c will blow cold again. If I am cruising down the freeway and get tucked in behind a car the a/c blows hot. This all happened about the same time that my cigarette lighter quit working. Only use it to plug in the GPS but still. Does anybody know were that fuse it and what could be going on with my a/c. Thanks for the help.

it's not a fuse.

it's not giving up any heat when it has no airflow across the condensor..

checked the fan clutch? Should be pretty stiff.

might also be just a hair low on charge, or the refrigerant could be waterlogged...

to check, spray the condensor with a garden hose with the engine running and the a/c on.. if it all of a sudden frosts the windows over, start pricing accumulators and a thermal orfice tube..
