can anyone tell me why installing an afe stage 2 air intake would trip the check engine light? I installed it HOPING to pick up at least 1mpg and a few miles into driving it the engine light came on and hasnt went off after 100 miles now..what do I need to do? I was really wanting to get a straight exhaust and the bad ass programmer but if an intake trips the codes, what do u think 200rwhp upgrades will do?!

i dont kno why it trips the engine lite, but i wuz interested in buyin a AFE2 also and the shop sellin the intake said i would be better gettin a volant air intake...id still like 2 have a AFE but dont wanna deal wit the lite prob !!!

i have also heard of similar cases in the 6.0's with the stage II AFE kits.
