Question air box

does anyone know what the tube is that goes into the airbox lid, almost looks similar to a coolant hose, seems to route behind engine. just curious. i just added an afe dry filter and the end of the filter is touching the hose inside the box. thanks.

It is a hose to put warm air into the box. Kinda stupid i think. I just replaced mine with the banks ram air, I had to put it back into the new airbox. Hope that helps.

ok, just curious. it seems that the hose is touching the end on the new filter, but its not touching the media. no big deal then. thanks

Putting warm air in the air box defeats the purpose, I'm sure everyone agree's. Is there a way to delete that hose without throwing codes?
