I recently changed out my alternator. This has to be the easiest alternator to change out in the history of automobiles. I swear you could change one out in 5 minutes.
Of course it took me about 45 minutes taking my time and being careful and of course the initial 5-10 minutes of figuring how to do it in the frist place.
$158.00 plus a lifetime warranty at Advance Auto. Basically it's an exchange and nothing to take apart. It even included the belt pulley and nuts to secure the wiring.
I just hope I don't have to use the warranty every 3 months now ;)

WOW! Things actually work better now. The A/C fan speed is higher, the A/C itself seems to work better. The Wait-to-start light goes out faster. I guess the alternator was slowly failing and the batteries were slowly going bad also. IT even seems to run better and now it's getting 50mpg :)
