I think that is the same B-17 my father-in-law got to ride in about 5 years ago. My son bought the ride for his grandpa. When the crew found out he was a B-17 veteran, they had an endless amount of questions for him.

He passed away a couple of months ago at 94.

Wow freakin awesome! I'd love to see one up close. So happy to see that some are still flying. Wonder what the enemy was feelin when they heard those birds roaring towards them!? :sweetOne question, i noticed on those bombs they had names on them. I assume those are like names of the pilots that flew that particular plane or the people that restored it??
