Another use for the Upfitter Switches....

Remote Start + Upfitter Switches + Heated Seats = Toasty ;tu

Pissed that Ford took away the feature to leave the heated seats in the "on" position to warm up during cold Michigan mornings (my 2006 had it), I took it upon myself to trace the wires and set a parallel circuit to bypass the heated seat relay. Works like a charm with the 2degF nights we're having.

Simple DIY. PM me if interested.

The heated seats in our 05' F150 won't come on with the remote start. I wonder if your system would work on it?

You will need to find a power source (12volt) that is HOT only when the remote start is on (no key required). You can probably find this somewhere in the fuse panel. The risk of 12 volt (all the time) is going to fry or potentially burn something.

Once you find this source you can tie into it and use a basic toggle switch (I'm assuming you don't have the upfitter switches in the F150). A simple toggle switch will work instead.

I believe you can make it work !
