i just drove the 08 f450 sd crew cab. turning radius is way better than my gmc but power seemed quite a bit less? anybody out there feel the same? i sure it will tow my 35 foot country star, just thought it would be snappier.

Lets not forget that Ford, in their infinite wisdom, de-tuned the F450. HP is down to 325, torque 600. Why you can buy an f250 @ 350 h.p. and 650 ft. lb. but the big rig is tuned down is anyone's guess.

This is only on the 4.88 gears and the 6 speed manual only.

My power has really started coming on at around 600 miles. Big difference than when it had 100 miles.

Not according to Truck trend or Motor trend. But then again, I don't own one.

Yup, you get the 350/650 6.4 with the F-450 with 4.30 gears, and like stated above, they are only detuned for 4.88 and 6 speeds.

They are nice rigs, they rid nice, turn awsome, have good power, all in all they are good trucks. But lets just say that fuel economy will be in the low teens when running around empty, and in the high single digits fully loaded. Its definatly a truck you dont want to go get groceries in, I would only own one to tow.
