Question anyone use synthetic MTF rather than mercon in a ZF unit

Has anyone used a synthetic MTF or gear oil in their ZF five or six speed unit?

I've been using Red-Line D-4, full Synthetic (ATF), in my manual trans's for Years.. and thier Synthetic rear dif lube too.

A bit pricey.. but good stuff.

thanks Joe, I have a case of torco full synthetic ATF and I will give it a try.
it says it exceeds mercon specs.

As long as it meats the Mercron V specs.. you should be.. Good To Go.
