Cut down a few trees out back today before the wind blows them over on the house.

15 second video on the day's highlight.

You know I was up there but then I realized that I needed to be on the roof of the house filming the action so I zipped back down and let someone else top it. :lmao

Actually there ain't no way you would find me in the top of a dead spruce pole. I hired a professional to fall three trees that were going to wipe out house, fence and power-lines if not laid down just right. It was worth a couple hundred bucks to know that the guy with the saw was licensed, insured and bonded. Just wished he had smacked the roof since I need a new one..

So that's the way it's done in the North Woods. $200 bucks is cheap.

I cheated and had my power company come drop the lines (no charge) when I was doing my tree trimming a couple months ago

I was required to give them at least 24 hour notice, he was there 15 min before the requested time of 10 AM and they were back within 30 minutes of the call to rehang the power lines. Needless to say I was rather impressed with the service but I did choose a time where the weather was good & no recent storms.

I did have the genset ready with fuel should I need it.
