This morning my truck would not crank. I charged the battery, and it then cranked OK. I'll probably wind up getting new batteries, but I thought I would first try my BatteryMinder Model 12117. Supposedly you can use it on two similar batteries in parallel. My question is whether the two batteries are actually in parallel. That is, can I just connect the BatteryMinder to one of the batteries? I would also be interested in opinions regarding the BatteryMinder in general. Does it really work to restore batteries?

The batteries are in parallel. Just connect your Battery Minder to one battery and it will take care of both batteries. I do this with a battery desulphator. Yes the Battery Minder works, but will not charge two dead batteries. Use a normal battery charger to get them charged and then use the Battery Minder.

Good deal! Batteries are the #1 problem in winter. Many people have this problem but they don't consider the Battery Tender/Minder to keep them charged.
