Does any body know if the oem bed extender is adjustable in size. I was on westin's site and looking at their assembly instructions, when I noticed there might be some adjustability. There are a lot of bed extenders off of F 150s around but few from F250s. So I was wondering if I could buy one from a F150 and readjust it to fit an F250s tailgate opening.

I can't answer this for sure, but I looked it up and it appears as though the same one for the standard (97-03 I think) F150 fleetside bed would work on the SD.

I do know that the tailgates are interchangeable between them.

Groundhawg, was that from Ford? I had compared one from an F150, and it was 6" to short. That's why I was wondering if they are adjustable. I prefer the OEM piece because of its ability to flip back and forth, ( I have a tonneau cover and don't want to lift it every time I puy something in)and most of the aftermarket mounts seem flimsy
