Okay guys, I am going to break down and chip my '96 F-250! Here is what I am thinking of going with:

DP Tuner F5

Position 0: No Start
Position 1: Stock
Position 2: High Idle (1200 rpm)
Position 3: 40 HP Tow
Position 4: 60 HP Tow
Position 5: 80 HP Econo

What do you guys think?

Everything on the truck is stock except for a 4" MBRP Exhaust.:sweet

I would skip the 40 hp tow. Once you use the 60 hp tow you will NEVER use the 40. You will LOVE the 80 hp econo, this is how our trucks should run from the factory. Call DP and discuss how you use your truck with Jody, he has a LOT of experience in steering you in the right directuion.

So, skip the 40tow and lower the high idle to 1000 rpm....

DP Tuner F5

Position 0: No Start
Position 1: Stock
Position 2: High Idle (1000 rpm)
Position 3: 60 HP Tow
Position 4: 80 HP Econo
Position 5: --

Any other thoughts? I will call Jody once I am ready to order it....

I have a factory aic. The lowest setting on it is 1200 rpm. I set it between 1200 and 1600 depending on temp. When warming up at work this morning I had it on 1750 since it was -42º. I would go with 1200 on a chip.

I would go

Position 0: No Start
Position 1: High Idle (1200 rpm)
Position 2: Stock
Position 3: 60 HP Tow
Position 4: 80 HP Econo
Position 5: All out performance
