I'm suspecting a boost leak, and wondering if the boost leak detector from Dieselsite is the way to go. Anyone here that has used this before with good results? Any advice/comments appreciated.

You can take a trip to the plumbing department at lowes and make one for about half the price. A few pvc or black iron fittings, male air chuck, larger pvc bushing, 4" rubber hose, cheapo guage and a couple hose clamps and you've got it. Also remember you gotta make a cap for the other end. They work good, but once you have diagnosed that you have a leak, finding it is the worst part (if it's small). Some soapy water in a spray bottle can save you a ton of time.

I appreciate your reply. If I was a younger man that is what I would do, but I value my time and by the time I go shopping, set up the shop(toolup),cost of fuel to shop,etc.,etc., I would be way ahead by purchasing the ready made tool. Good idea about the spray bottle, that's what I was thinking of doing also. Thanks. Anybody else?
