I searched the site for info on synthetic oil and conventional oil and found what I was looking for.
I also read about the oil by pass setup.
I searched and did not find as much info as I wanted.

can you guys tell me about the by-pass systems and when and why they are used. and what they do for interval changes.

thanks
Wayne

i use oilguard, if the gallery was working you can see teh pics there

it bascially filters the oil down to one micron, it takes normal oil pressure through an orfice and refilters all the crankcase oil. it draws a small amount of pressure and flow off the oil gallery ( filter cap on teh 6.0), its like a big kidney filter for your engine
i run extened changes, ran 10k changes on the 7.3
next change on the 6.o will be 10k abd i will sample to see if it is still up to par
