There are enough differences between the F-Series trucks and the E-Series vans that I am stuck. Anyone have any pointers as to where I can get guidance on where the fuel filters and the oil filter is on a 6.0 PowerStroke on the van? The fuel filter conditioner looks different and it appears the oil filter is UNDER the engine as opposed to on top of the engine.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.:hail

Might want to get your hands on the owners manual or a copy. The oil filter is underneath on vans and cut-a-ways.

the vans are more difficult...the engine is set back just enough
to make it tough to get to the engine mounted filters.

let me find the links/hints...

To access the top mounted secondary fuel filter there's a few components that need to be removed but can be done.

I dropped you a PM;tu

I've seen those links as well in the past but I never bookmarked the urls:doh:

I can post the text version of the secondary filter procedure.

Fuel Filter — 6.0L Diesel, Secondary
Removal and Installation

1. Detach the coolant hoses from the air cleaner
outlet pipe.
2. NOTE: Air cleaner side shown, engine side
similar.
Loosen the clamps and remove the air cleaner
outlet pipe.
3. Loosen the clamp on the charged air cooler
duct at the intake manifold adapter.
4. Loosen the clamp on the charged air cooler
duct at the charged air cooler.
5. Remove and position the charged air cooler
duct aside.
6. Remove the secondary fuel filter cap by turning
the cap counterclockwise and remove the
secondary fuel filter.
• Discard the secondary fuel filter.
• Carefully clean the mating surfaces.

7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
