Cold starting problems

I have a f350 and anytime it gets under 40 It will not start. When I plug it in, start right up. Also will run terrible until warmed up. I have had new glow plugs, wiring harnesses, relay, the whole deal. I was told by one of my mechanic friends that it could be my Cam sensor. Does anyone have any ideas what else I can try? Tell us a little about your truck;year,miles,any performance modifications made?

Put a diagnostic scanner on the truck for discovery of any codes?

Have 2000 4door F350 dually 4x4. the truck has 180,00 miles on it. It has 5 inch exhaust, 3 stage programable tuner, and a 6 inch lift. I have had the truck since 2003. It has always had this problem since i have own it.

Batteries Mine was the same way until i replaced both them now it fires right off.

Read the EOT at startup to see how it compares to ambient air temp...

I had the same problem, check to see if the glow plug relay is kicking in. I ended up running a manual switch for the glow plug relay. I also put a stancor contactor in after my third relay.
