Coolant filter Part

Howdy All,
For those of you considering adding a coolant filter with a John Deere Coolant Eye, be aware that John Deere has discontinued PN# TY16423. This is the coolant eye mentioned on I believe Baz's page as well as some other coolant pages. I was able to find one not too far from me but I took their last one. I paid 26.00 including shipping and taxes.
I am sure there is something else that will work, but just throwing this out as a heads up.

TIG cooler part?

I too found out that the part was discontinued, allegedly due to manuf quality issues.

I considered using the flow indicator from a Miller TIG torch cooler. Its a paddle wheel that spins in a clear plastic housing. It has an o-ring seal on the site glass and has 3/8 hose barb fittings.

Miller Part Number 215 279. Its about $25.

If you look at the Coolmate TIG torch cooler, its the blue asterixk looking thingy on the front panel.

I have not gotten around to getting one to putting it on.
