dash lights

ok in the morning the dash lights are dim. then after awhile the are normal brightness. i guess this could be a ground problem??? does any one know where to start looking.

It may be the alternator and batteries.

well i got new batteries last month. i think that the person before me hooked the power or ground to the brake assist (for a trailer) to the dash wiring.

Glow plugs... When the glow plugs are on the lights are dim... Look at your volts gauge, it will be down too, when the lights come back up look again and your volts will be back up...

Yep, the increased load of the GP's does it. If you look for it, you can see the headlights brighten up, too.

Was going to make a post about this question, but it looks like you just answered it. So ideally, I shouldn't take off until the GP's turn off and the headlights brighten up?
