The aftermarket (Kenwood KDCX-659) stereo in my truck just died today and I cannot figure out what might be wrong with it. I checked every fuse I could and all of them looked good. Next I pulled the stereo out of the dash and checked the 10A mini-fuse in the back of the head unit and there's nothing wrong with it. All of the wiring harness looked good (no broken wires, crimp connectors that pulled apart, etc...) so I don't know what else to check out, so is there anything else I should look at except for going out and buying a new stereo?

Do you happen to still have your stock unit? If you do, I'd plug that one in right quick to make double-sure it's the unit and not some fuse or wiring prob..

I just checked--there is power up to the plug that plugs into the back of the HU and the ground connection is good as well. I guess I'm in the new stereo market now...
