I have heard many good things about the Delo 15w40 oil. I was using Rotella 15w40 without any issues in my 2002 F350 7.3

Costco now has a coupon sale good until 12/7/08 regarding the Chevron Delo 15w40 oil. Regular price $66.00 (case) 6-1 gallon jugs. With the coupon is is $15.00 off of each case making it $51.00 which is $8.50 per gallon. There is a limit of 5 cases with the coupon. I of course went for it as I hear Chevron Delo is a decent oil for the 7.3's. I guess I will find out in about 2000 miles when my next oil change is due.

Thanks Dave for the information. Any difference with the Delo in your 7.3 compared to other oils used prior to Delo? I am interested to see if there will be any difference compared to the Rotella I was using?

Thanks

I use Rotella T syn oil now. I have used it for about 80,000 miles now and I like it. The 6.0 has a "romp" problem in cooler temperatures (cold mornings) and Syn oil cures this, as does the 5W40 weight verses the 15W40.

Dave :)

Delo 15w/40 is all I"ve ever used. 130,000 miles. Thanks for the info on Costco. I'm going there tomorrow.
