Bushpilot, I just had BTS Brians Truck Shop do mine this past week and he said that he dropped the pan and felled it with 4 QT of new oil and flushed it out that way. He charged me for 16 Qt's of oil to do it. Truck had 25986 miles on it when I had him to do it. He filled it with the Schaeffer's Synthetic.

I'm not sure how different the TQshift is from the 4r100, but we just did a 4r100 last mod day. If BTS does the pan fill and cooler line drain method, then we should do it the same way. That's the only way to do one in the drive way. I may be free on Sunday afternoon to help you with this.

Isn't it similar to flushing the 4R100 by disconnecting a fluid cooler line? I believe Bryan has experience with the 4R100 flush out but unsure when he'll be checking in due to out of state family obligations.

I'll be around this Sunday if you'd like me to come by and photo document the procedure and we'd finally get to meet eye to eye :sweet

Might as well change the filter as well.

yeah that could work...unless yall wanna do it one evening. (i have the
tp-roll factory filter (the one in the pan does not get changed, unless
there is considerable metal found in the fluid or on the drain plug).

the proceedure is fairly well documented (w/ photos) HERE

My place should be available for Sunday afternoon. John and I did his flush when we did his Sonnax last weekend. I did my flush about a year ago. Keep me posted on what you decide.
