diablo chip???

got a diablo alf6 chip from a friend that had it in his 96. I have a 97 and the chip wont work. are these chips programed to specific trucks? could it be mine is a 97?

any info on diablo chips will really be a big help.

I was thinkin it is made for a particular truck. They are locked usually depending on your pcm or somethin? If you get it unlocked you can put it on your truck. Someone else will know whats up. I heard you cant just take a chip from one truck and put it on another.

who should i talk to about something like this. there are no diablo dealers in utah that i can find.

have you cleaned the chip connector on the '97? What does it do when installed? any CEL, or other warning lights?

you'll need to pull the pcm out of the truck to get it clean.

dont know how to clean the connector. when i installed it the truck would not start. there were no codes. what is the pcm??

PCM is the computer where you're plugging the chip into

with a no start you're likely getting contact on some pins but not others
