While going down the the road my 2000 X 7.3 will die about once a week and the glow plug light will come on. If Im going fast enough I can hold on and it will restart on its own w/o even turning the key it will just take off again if my foot is on the peddle. It seems that when it dies the tach stayed about 2000rpm.
The service engine soon light has been on so yesterday I had the codes cked and this is what I got: 0672 cyl 2 glow plug circuit
0674 cyl 4 glow plug circuit
0676 cyl 6 glow plug circuit
0678 cyl 8 glow plug circuit
1210 inj. control pressure above expected level
1249 wastegate control valve performance
It seems to be all electrical to me but I don't know much about these things.
Any ideas on where to start looking would be appreciated. Also I have a perf. chip but it has never caused any light or problem
Thanks

I would first start with the wiring connectors on that side of the engine. You may have a loose connector and only running on one side momentarily and then it re-fires.

I'd look at the UVC (Under Valve Cover) connector on the one side. Intermittants are often due to loose connections.

I got to go with what tail gunner said. If you take it to ford your looking a around $ 800 to $ 900 that is what they charged my nabor.
